In 2023, AK Welding Solutions was subcontracted by Swisslog TransLogic to install a 6-inch pneumatic tube delivery system as part of the nine-floor tower addition at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange County.

Our team successfully installed 6,500 feet of 6-inch tubing and radius offsets, connecting 32 nurse stations and 16 transfer units. Working closely with McCarthy Contractors and OSHPD inspectors, we ensured that all pipe supports and seismic bracing met the highest standards of safety and compliance.

This project demanded precise coordination and logistics, with multiple mobilizations from Ventura County to Orange County. The successful completion of the installation not only met all project deadlines and specifications but also led to additional awarded contracts at CHOC Children’s Hospital.
